if your looking for a piece that size you might be better off looking at your local store as i would think it would be on the heavy side and will kill you on delivery charges from the internet but if you need to use the internet because of what ever reason i.e no transport etc try ebay

check out burstwickaquaticsupplies On eBay
i recently got a lovely piece of wood from them at 36cm i know they currently have a piece with a length of 40cm and they are cheap. if you cant get a 1meter long piece consider buying multiple pieces dont forget to soak the pieces of wood to get rid of the tannins in the wood unless you want to give your that brown colored water

and try http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/ have some nice pieces on there but might sting you on delivery

+1 with matt online would be to pricy LFS or even find a piece of wood in your garden or locally like i did :) saved me so much money a little hard work but worth it i think :)

Fishey Business in Hailsham (Near Eastbourne), and also the branch in Brighton has some that size, as do Maidenhead Aquatics in Hickstead (and probably a lot of their other branches). Expect to pay around £100 for that size !!! (In those places at least)

Funnily enough I have just two pieces around a metre long and intricately detailed at my local grantham garden centre, both cost £60.
