Ok. So I Was just thinking "Nane has some good Ol Tree's in her garden" And she is trimming them down soon.

So i was womndering Could you Keep some of this wood? Wait for it to Die and Dry off? Boil It leave it to stand for a couple Days or so, Then add it to your tank?

Or is there something simular to this i could do?

Or do i have to buy the £20 Rip off bogwood sets?

If so

Coconut Cave. Here i come! :hyper:

Depends on the type of wood. Also you'd be waiting a fair old time for it to be ready.

Pets@Home do some decent wood for less than £10 as does ebay.aquarist classified etc. I've not paid more than £6 for any of my pieces and some are about 12" long/high, in fact my biggest pieces were £4 each.

Just calm down and take your time. Besides, test kit is your first priority isn't it?

Yep And Pets at homes fairly Local to me aswel.

Will have to get alot of stuff first then

need to save up £30.

£18 on a test Kit ( Inc Delivery )
And £12 on Accesories :good: And gradully build on later on :good: I Told mom i wanted a test Kit. She must have forgotten as per useal.

What 'accessories'? Surely you have most stuff anyway from the smaller tank?

in priority order from your posts I'd say :

Dechlorinator (get a small bottle of something like seachem prime and it will last you months - you only use about 3ml per water change)

Test Kit - Any liquid test kit with Ammonia, NitrIte, NitrAte and Ph tests is good, API probably cheapest and most widely available.

Substrate

Decor.
