Nope no need for it at all, unless you have particular fish..ie plecs that need it in there diet.

What plecs do you have?, wood is good for all plecs, most will rasp but there are particular species which do ingest for part of there diet.

Neither are wood eating species, funny combination of plecs to have lol, what size tank are they housed in?

It`s a 240l, But why do people ask the size of your tank? is it to see if yours is bigger lol.

yep thats exactly why it was asked!!, the plec will outgrow the tank just to let you know.


Btw my tanks are all smaller than your 240 at the moment .... do you feel better now lol
