thanks 3 of my bit of bog wood are of some one i no and well soaked so no tanning probs there one id from my old scape and 6mth old again np theresjust to add Spurry, bogwood will leech tannins into the tank so the water will go brown - it doesn't harm the fish as far as I know but it doesn't look so good. The leeching will lessen over time (about 6 months or so). Mine is still leeching a bit but I quite like the darker water - looks more natural.
Also, it could drop your ph quite a bit. My normal PH is around 6.8-7. When I added my bogwood it dropped below 6 for a few weeks. It slowly came back up and is now back to normal (4 months in now). I just wanted to warn you of both those things in case you didn't know
