Im sure this has been asked before, but whats the best way to tell the difference between a male and female Boesmani rainbow fish?

Thanks for the help :good:

Well, when they are young and not even showing colors, you can't tell. Not with 100% certainty.
Males will usually color more quickly, but that doesn't mean you might mistake a "slow coloring" male to be female.

Yeah, I thought that might be a problem. I searched the internet for about an hour trying to find a way when they were young. I watched them at the LFS for a while and they only thing I could see was some had the upper body one color and the mid-body back, another.
