Bn Plecos Being Weird

ok so my male has spent the last month with his head buried in a small cave he dug out underneath a rock and dosnt (unusually) come out for his algae wafers he is in the fish tank with a female bn pleco aswell

He may be protectiing some eggs, can you see small little orange eggs in the back of the cave?
