Bn Pleco In With Malawi Ciclids

Next week we are hopefully going to the LFS to get fish for our tank. We are planning on purchasing approx 10 P. saulosi and we would like to get something else for the bottom. I was told that BN pleco is ok to have in the same tank. How many can I have in a 40g with the p. saulosi? The LFS only has albinos. Are they ok?

Saulosi aren't one of the more aggressive species, so a BN pleco has a pretty good chance with them. Do provide suitable cover though. A single BN would most likely be enough to keep the algae off the glass, though you could fit a pair or trio in a 40 if you have a growout tank available for the fry. If you prefer brown, calico, or super red BN I have loads of them available.
