Bn Pair? No, Mines A Menage-a-trois!

I can't believe it!

Last night my male and female brown BN's were starting to go through their mating rituals. This morning she had left an impressive clump of eggs in the cave and the male was doing his thing.

So i went for a shower and when i came back downstairs i had a look in the cave and to my surprise my albino female BN was in the cave being fertilised by the male!! They stayed together for around 30 mins and when she finally left him there were even more eggs!!!!

I'm quite proud of him really, he's got two females and instead of choosing one he's decided to have them both!!!!

Now i know why i seem to get about 80 eggs yet the female doesn't look like she's got enough room to fit them all in, i now know she doesn't!!

Is this normal behaviour or have i just got a bit of a pimp male BN!!!

I think this is quite common, peeps here recommend having 3 BNs together....If your males any good (which it sounds like he is ) then you will have babies coming out of your ears.

nice one! moos should be here later, ill let you know about the aquascaping....set up new tank yesterday looks very good at the moment, needs few more plants though!

its great watching them going thru the mating part always good when they lay loads of eggs have fun
