hi guys my female bn isnt very well her stomach has gone from plump to realy skiney so skinny that her anal area is sunken what can i do i have put her in my hospital tank in a dark area hopeing that she hasnt eaten (altho she has plenty of food) so am hopeing she recovers any ideas from anyone

she gets the norm fresh veg i havnt been feeding wafers (bad i no) but ive never fed them to her shes had norm algae and all sorts of veg but it is all of a sudden that shes lost this wait ive offered her courshett and algae wafer whilest shes in my hospital tank bu she dont wont to eat

my othe bn male in with her he is a juvy just getting his bristles he seems alright

shall i try putting the two bristle noses in with my other bn's to controll feeding?
im just worried that it will be contagious an infect my other bn's (thats if it is an illness)

and there would be 4 in the same tank 2female and 2 males?

Is this a tank bred or wild caught fish?

The symptoms sounds like some kind of internal parasite, I would keep the fish in QT for now and try treating with something like kusuri wormer, flubendazole (spelling?) or the like.

I am not massively au fait with meds though but that is where I would start.

The meds suggested won't harm the fish if it is the wrong treatment but if you have any shrimps in the QT tank take them out as they won't appreciate it.

That the tank sje came from has a danio with a blister either side of his body so i dnt know if this is an internal infection?

Sorry put to many enters in there i have noticed that the tank she came from one of the danios has 1 blister either side of his body same place behind the gills above the front limbs

I wasn't, correct, that is why I alerted you to that fact. It is actually correct.

If you don't have dyslexia then you are just plain lazy or 8 years old.
