The name's (blue spotted) 'plecostomus' :) That's a beautiful fish there. Be very careful if you are considering buying any kind of plec - many get very large and a lot also require wood (ie: driftwood or bogwood) in their diet and most are territorial so need to be kept singly and fed primarily on veggies or pleco tablets and other sinking foods. Basicaly, make sure you know what you're buying ;)

yes they looked exaclty like that SmithRC

beautiful fish, there was about 30 juvies in the tank

they're soo cute

but very timid

how rare are they?

according to planet catfish they get to 7.2", NOW im tempted!!!

oh, btw i saw them at "World's End Garden Centre" in the aquatics place, its in Buckinghamshire :)

Which means very shy and nocturnal - so be prepared to hardly ever see them ! ;)

£45 for a tiny juvie is a bit much I think.....

Wholesale Tropicals (in London) have them in every few months and large adults barely command that price.

I think i might go to this wholesales place-
My L-14 is nocturnal which can be a bit annoying but he has started to change his ways at feeding time :d:D
