Hello all :)
I am new to the forum.
I stumbled upon FishForums.net whilst trawling through the web searching for blue shrimp & pure endlers, so no better way to introduce myself than to post a wanted ad for exactly that!
I live in West Yorkshire and my LFS are not very up on shrimp & certainly don't supply Endlers.
I'd prefer to have baby shrimp & endler fry as it gives me great pleasure to watch them grow & colour up but I would not be opposed to purchasing juveniles or adults.
I am more than willing to pay a fair price & collect locally or cover postage & packaging costs if you are too far away and would be willing to post them to me.

I think I covered everything there but if not I'm sure someone will be kind enough to let me know :)

Thank you for reading.

Sorry to thread-crash, but I might be interested in some of those shrimp muay (obviously Taminky should have first choice though). Have you got a scientific name for them?

Dont know if its any good but ive got quite a few baby malaysian algie shrimp for sale ?

Thank you Muay, your offer is much appreciated, but it really has to be blue shrimp.
I have cherry shrimp and want the colour contrast :)

Bigtom i have quite a few shrimp so no worries there. as for the scientific name im not sure but if you put malaysian algie shrimp into google they should come up.

No worries Taminky.

Thank you Maxie but I have just today managed to get some pure bred black bar endlers :good:
I'm still looking for blue shrimp though. Not many ppl having them nowadays is there?
Seems to be only online retailers that I can get them from and (call me picky) but I prefer home bred aquatics. They always seem to be hardier and disease free!
I asked my LFS the other day what temperature he was keeping the tanks at and he didn't even know!?! I didn't dare ask water parameters! My safest bet was to walk away empty handed :-(

no probs mate,, i dont think i would buy from that place,, you done the right thing walking away.. youll find it hard to get blue shrimp and even harder to breed them when you get them,,, i have cherry shrimp in with my endlers and they are the easiest to breed..have had all types of shrimp in the past and had no luck with them breeding but the cherry shrimp are great...anyway good luck mate.

Thank you for sound advice Maxie
I have cherry shrimp already and I adore them. I'm not too worried about breeding blue shrimp, although a couple of babies a year would be nice to sort of keep numbers in the tank going :D
Why do you think they are harder to breed? Could that be due to too much alkalinity in the water or a varying PH level perhaps?
I have always been under the impression that they are the same to keep and breed as cherry shrimp. Am I mistaken?
