Firstly my apologies if this is the wrong forum.

I have some Blue Rams in a community tank that have started behaving strangely. Two of them are industriously digging a hole behind one of my plants. Is this some kind of mating thing or is this just something they do from time to time? ;)

Not quite sure, but my blue ram has his special territory and it is behind a certain plant. I havent looked to see if he has dug there though, maybe its a boy and girl and they are going to lay eggs??

Someone will definitly be able to help you.

Generally Rams dig little holes/pit when they mate and decide to lay eggs. they can become very aggressiv during this period. The Rams will not eat the fry as most typical fish, but rather guard. :good:

They aren't very good parents though. It's rare to have a pair that are awesome parents.
