hello, could anyone tell me how long it is before the fry are free swimming??

never mind they've started swimming around now whats the best thing to feed them, brine shrimp or infusoria?

The eggs will hatch within 48-60 hours depending on water temp.

The easyest thing is liqudfry for egg layers from interpet, start adding this when they have used there toke sacks up, ase they get bigger add freshly hatched brineshrimp.

I use ZM fry foods as well, which are handy they come in a range of sizes from infuser up wards.

good read but the male keeps chasing the female away from the fry, is she trying to eat them?? would it be best to remove her??

She could be, sometimes the males do this and raise the fry themselfs, thats chiclids for you strange behavour

I'de only remove her if she becomes to stressed just keep an eye on her, if there's plenty of cover it should't be to much of a problem.
