just a thought but has anyone tried a piece of blue perspex between the lights and tank? don't even know if you can get blue tinted perspex. think it might work n just wondered if anyone else was as poor as me and can't afford decent blue lights lol

id say blue lights would be better. as you would be filtering out all other light besides the blue if you have plants in there it might suffer... but could always give it a go

i got two 30w t8 6600k running. na ain't got any plants as its a malawi tank. although i've only got peacocks im it at the moment.
