I have just noticed that my lobster is moving around the tank with his tail curled up, having read some of the threads on this forum i now come to the conclusion the he is infact a she , is it possible the she is carrying Berries ? if she is they can't be fertilised as i have only one lobster.
so what must i look out for ? she also lies on her side from time to time . any help would be most apriciated.

P.S how do i post a picture ?

sorry i missed your post!

to add a picture, you need to upload it from a host. something like photobucket/imageshack. then paste the forum link into your post.

unless your cray has red patches, on its claws, its a female. they do indeed, berry, without a male. but, as you say, they cant be fertilised. if she is in berry, you will see a collection of eggs , attached to the tail. don't worry, but it may be worth adding a "anit fungal" to the tank. they will drop in the end, making food for the cray, or any other occupants of the tank.
