what size tank am i looking for,for the red claw crayfish. Cherax destructer?

Cherax Destructor is illegal in the uk, the only legal "blue Lobster" is Cherax Quadricarinatus, they need a good 3 foot tank, they like to have areas that are shallower and areas that are deeper, as they like to be able to stick their head out of water (though this is not neccessary it's what they like to do). They need a species only tank, are omnivors enjoying everything from mussels, fish to peas and carrots. Lovely interesting pets, that can pack quite a nip if they get you with their claws, but interesting and pretty, I love mine.

what other crays are there that re legal in the uk? i know that the red claw is the only blue lobster available but arnt there, non blues?

the only crayfish you are legally allowed to keep in this country is Cherax Quadricarinatus, all the others, blue or not, tropical or not are all illegal.
