it really depends on what is being sold as "bluey lobster"
most are crayfish from the charax species.

As Paul said in your other topic, here in the UK the only legal crayfish found for sale in our shops is Cherax quadricarinatus the Red Claw Crayfish, very very often mislabelled by virtually all LFS's as blue lobsters

actually cherax quads. prefer it cooler than a lot of species, not more than 22°C, when they are too hot they moult to quickly and it shortens their life; though the cannot tolerate it getting really cold room temperature is fine.
