Blue Lobster.....

My blue lobster has been acting very starngly for the last week or so and I dont know why.

He is in a 3 ft tank by himself and has been for about 6 months but recently he started curling his tail right up and picking at it with his legs but more bizarrely he has started playing dead and lying on his side as if he is dead then the next minute he is walking about happy as you like.

He hasnt moulted for a few months but doesnt seem to moult with any king of regularity, sometimes once a month, sometimes every 2-3 months.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I did have a fish in with him for a couple of weeks while I set up a seperate tank but they didnt bother eachother atall but the other fish is out now and he is still doing it.

Any ideas?

Anybody??.....he is still doing it and he hasnt touched his prawn today.

Have you tried a 50 percent water change. I'm really not sure what the problem is. Does he have any funny coloration on him? Usually when they start acting like that, they don't last very long. And the only other times crayfish act odd are when preparing to molt or laying eggs.

I change 25% of the water weekly and since there is nothing else in the tank that should be fine, the water stats are fine.

He hasnt changed colour atall and has been doing it for about a week now and still hasnt moulted.....Im stuped as to what it is but just now he is climbing about quite happy but later Im sure he will be doing it again....its very bizarre!
