usually, Redlaw/Blue Lobsters reach 5-6 inches (nose to tail) in 9-12 months. they are a veg base detrivore, but eat flake and pellets no problem. i feed a little roasted chicken twice a week. and give fresh cucumber, defrosted peas, tinned carrots (well tinned anything veg) every other day. as for supplement's? none needed. especially not calcium.

any chance of some pictures?

you need to get a 'photo host'. something like "photobucket", "imageshack" or the like. you then paste the 'IMG' link, into your post.

You got a lovely male Redclaw there!:good:

however, it really need a bigger tank (perhaps the reason its not growing, as we would expect). Redclaw need more space than many Cray, 20 gallons or so.

whilst its not the only indication, males are the only ones with red patches on the outside of their claws. females are, almost, uniformly blue. though both have streaks and spots in red through purple.

tanks size is a problem, the solution, i have no answer to though.
