ok i rinsed out my blue gravel in the garden for an hour with a hose until water run clear.thinking it was fine i put it in the new tank and filled it up with water.when i woke up and had a look the water had a hint of blue and a blue film on surface.is this dangerous to any future fishies??should i empty it and start again??or will doing water changes sort it out??

I don't think the blue water will be harmful if it came off the gravel as long as the gravel was proper aquarium gravel, and water changes should sort things out although it sounds like pretty bad quality gravel unfortunatly if it did change the water color- did you add dechlorinator to the water and what brand?

yeah i used interpet dechloranator.are they a good brand coz ive had no problems with any of their products ie white spot treatment, fungus treatment?
