blue gourami

My blue gourami I have had for several years has suddenly ( seemingly in a few hours) developed a bulging left eye, and hole in the same side behind that eye.
I have introduced fish ( two angel and one black ghost) to the tank within the last month, but everyone else in the tank seems fine.Old blue has been slow lately but I didn't think anything of it.
If anyone can help I would sertainly appreciate it.

could it possibly be Popeye.. If it is your fish's eye will stick out of its socket and it may look cloudy. If you have popeye treat with Maracyn and/or Maracyn-Two.
