Blue Gourami With Orange?

I went to the petstore the other day and they had a tank full of blue gouramis. A couple of them were very large and I noticed they had orange coloring on their bottom fins, but the smaller gouramis didnt. Do blue gouramis get orange coloring when they get large, or are these blue gouramis special?

Could have been a cross breed or a new strain or even just a pigment diformaty? if they were all from the same spawn?

Male Blue Gouramis get a yellow/orange to their anal fin when sexually mature.

Yeah, thats basically it. The ones they had had more orange but thats it. I wish I took one.

This is one of mine that has orange on the top and bottoms a little bit and more on the tail, is that what you saw?

i know why they have orange on the bottom. it is because when they get older they just get orange on there bottom fins. i have one and it has orange on the bottom fin and i asked the lady at the store why there is orange there and she said beacuse it is old

it is blue, its the powder blue colouration

The Blue Gourami is not a dwarf Gourami, as in D3m's pic. the Blue is also known as the Three Spot Gourami...
