Just got a blue crayfish today sooo cute and really cool to watch him eat.
any advice for a first time crayfish owner?

but i need some information on which crayfish you have.

first off, where do you live?

did the vendor give the crayfish a name? ie, Electric Blue, Blue Lobster.

more often than not, that is an Australian Redclaw.and, if you are in the UK. its the only crayfish you can keep.

if you are outside the UK. it could be a P Allani. though they tend to be sold as, either, Electric Blue Craw/Crayfish. or dwarf swamp Craw/Crayfish.

if its a Redclaw, Cherax quadricarinatu, take a look at this

there is a profile, somewhere, for the P Allani. but its very general. and is a bit confused.so not much help.

though you are in the USA, Redclaw are still widely sold.
