I have some cold cathodes lying about doing nothing, and want to rig them up as lighting for some of my unlit betta tanks. They emit a very strong blue light, much stronger than a neon. They dont get very got at all and run off an interver from a twelve volt supply. Im hoping for some cool looking tanks! What do you lot think?

Such an odd coloured light is likely to make your fish seem odd colours, no use for plants of course, wrong spectrum, but otherwise I don't see a problem.
