I'm currently battling the heat with my apparently coldwater set up. The tropical 35g tank is also at 29 degrees, like yours, but the fish don't seem too bothered.
For the coldwater tank I have set a fan up to circulate air around the tank, also, before I go to bed, I put an ice block in a plastic bag, and then prop it inthe tank.
The only problem with ice blocks and ice etc is that the water fluctuates up and down, unless it's a constant supply. This can cause more stress to the fish than high water temp.
My fantail has got fin rot because of the heat, hopefully it'll cool down soon!
