anyone familiar??? I think they are just more vibrant red than Cherries... thought about adding a group to my Cherry tank... wondering if they are less likely to need culling, if Cherry is the standard, or do they go just as clear as a cherry cull in a generation, or???

The Bloody Mary shrimp has red flesh whereas the typical cherry shrimp has a red shell. Blood Mary are a deeper red in color.

They will mix and create Bloody Cherries.

There are no "cherry" color, the cherry term is used for every colors.

Most of the "reddish" comes from a mix of wild caught and "Red", from there all the Red Sakura, Red paint, Fire Red, Red Rili comes. Their offspring will have a tendency to be Red to Orange. Some blue jelly could also appear.

The Bloody Marys are coming from a mix of wild caught and Shoco, their offspring will have a tendency to turn up Red, Dark Blue and Black. So some blue diamond and blue dream could appear spontaneously.

I had bloody marys as my first neocaridina shrimp. Did not go well at all. They did not thrive unlike my cull shrimp
