i want to give my plecos a snack so i try to give them bloodworms but the worms never get down far enough for them to get some. my giant danios and skirt tetras eat them before they have a chance to sink an inch. i tried to use my hand to put them towards the bottom but they just float back into the middle area and the danios get them.... is there a trick or something to get it to them?

Are you giving them frozen (but defrosted bloodworms) or freeze dried? If freeze dried I have put one of the cubes under an elastic band around a small rock or slab of slate, that or I half bury the cube in the sand which the Cory's seem to really enjoy right up thier alley snuffling around in sand, and the BN's are able to also suction on the top of a partially buried cube without any hassels.
To make the defrosted blood worms to sink I put them in lower in the tank rather than just dropping in from the surface.

i defrost my frozen bloodworm before adding it (i have to split between 3 tanks) then i either pour or pipette the bloodworm in and it sinks straight away :good:

there frozen. i tried to throw off the danios and put some in one side then while they were over there put some on the other side... but as soon as they saw my hand hit the water they went right for it... there smart and are not afraid of anything.... when they see my hand they know its food time.

even when im standing over the tank they come right to me.... there crazy.

Try feeding at night after the lights have gone out.

The Plecs will active, but the rest of your fish won't be.
