HI, just fed my fish frozen blood worms and my apisto has one stuck in his mouth. he is still breathing around it i think.
Should i remove it or leave to see if it comes out on its own?
How long should i wait to see if i should remove it?
How would i go about removing it?
Thankyou
Lloyd

is it stuck in his gill ? i #105### a brick when i saw one of my cories with a bloodworm hanging out of its gill, but it eventually worked its way out a couple of mintes later. im not really sure theres anything you could do anyway. i guess it would eventually break down if it didnt work its way out. as long as hes acting pretty normal anyways, i would just leave it.

Thanks but it disapeared within an hour, it wasnt in his gill it was right in his mouth with about a 6th of the blood worm hanging out.
he seems happy now :good:
Thanks

Lloyd

That reminds me of some guppy juvis i had and they pigged out on bloodworm,i didnt realise until the next morning that 2 of them still had bloodworm stuck in their mouths

I managed to grab hold of the bw and whilst the guppy tried to free itself,it eventually came out on both, they were none the worse for wear...

Silly guppies.

But yes it's natural, gutsy fish just get too greedy and this happens regular.
