About 1-2 weeks ago I noticed my blood parrots have been acting strange. They've been circling, chasing, and pushing each other for the past couple weeks. They also started staying in one corner behind a rock the whole time, and last night I discovered the gravel sprayed with eggs in that same corner. The pair have also been guarding viciously, attacking anything that comes remotely close their corner.
I did a little reading with blood parrot eggs...how the males are not sterile, and that the eggs would be white if they weren't fertilized. From what I see they're brown colored. So hopefully they are fertilized. Or do would they turn white afterwards?
A couple questions. Is it really necessary to move the pair to a different tank? Or the eggs? After they hatch or before?
