Does anyone know anything about these fish. My son caught on in a stream near my house and then bought 2 more at the fish store. Well to make a long story short they killed a couple of my long lived neons leaving them a bloody mess. I could really use some info. Thanks.
Are you sure you mean blennies? as I was aware, blennys are a type of peaceful bottom dwelling saltwater fish , although I guess I could be thinking of a different fish.
Could you post a link with some information about the fish you are talking about?
This is a pic of the ones I have. There called Lawnmower Blennies so I've discovered. I can't find much on feeding habits, ect. I did find one article that said their carniverous. I'd appreciate any info I can get. I thought it strange my son caught one in the creek by our house.
That's very strange, that your son would find them in a stream. Lawnmower blennys are one of the most commonly available saltwater fish. I have never kept a saltwater tank myself, but if you want more information about them check out the saltwater section of this forum.
