Blackwater 55g Build

Oooh, handy! Are you going to cut the glass to size and attach it under the brace? That probably seems the strongest way to go about it.

I'm attaching it over top to the rim

Also what are those leafy plants?
Amazon swords!

I have the pond fish moved to the old 46 bowfront ;) the atrocity of bright fake plants haha but my son loves these fish. He picked a lot of the plants (cant do live due to snails and goldfish, live floaters and hornwort are contained in the breeder mesh

Slowly filled er up, watched the brace and it seemed to do fine...

Sat down to watch the fish and get photos of them enjoying their new space...

"SNAP!!"

The brace gave way. Lucky nothing shattered from the force.
Back draining again, I see what went wrong, the seal was weaker on one side.
Gonna clean off old seal, put new, and additional supports on the other sides as well.

well! glad the glass didn't shatter from the force! I assume there is more surface area for the adhesive to be in contact with if you put the glass panel under the brace, correct?

Maybe two of these joined together? The material may be in question as far as being fish-safe.
