hi. I'm just wondering how big my fish will get. It's a blackmoore/nymph cross. currently it's body is about 2 1/2", about 4" with tail.
Just curious. would like it to get bigger but it seems to have stopped growing.
I've looked on website but nowhere i've found tells me.

If anyone knows I'd really like to know. Also, how long do they live for. I've had my moore and my goldies for about 2 years. thanks heaps.

they have been known to live up to 25 years and in a tank reach up to 10 inches although they may get a little larger in a pond ,

not sure how yours would be affected with it being a cross but the above info is for black moors

he's going mental (my blacky). One minute he's sitting on the bottom. the next he's swimming like a mad thing round and back and forward up and down my tank. He's being strange. He's got spots on his gills and fins (like the mating ones). do you know if he's being weird coz he wants to mate? My comet has spots too. Not disease tho. thought you might know. :)

They're in with tropicals. Itcan't be doing them much good. There are chemicals in a tropical fishs slime coat that are toxic to goldfish.

lol. He seems back to normal now so I dunno. They've been together for about 2 years or maybe slightly less but they're doing fine in respects to being in tropical water. just growing really fast.
Would my blackmoorexnymph breed with my comets? thats the other one with those mating spots. The comet with spots chases my other comet but would they actually breed in that tank they're in ? I know the eggs would get eaten but if I could get the eggs out???? do they lay eggs in the early morning like other fish?
thanks :)
