Some of my black widows look fatter than others, I'm thinking they're the females.

Do these almost look purple / deep blue under certain light?

I saw some yesterday at my LFS and they suggested getting at least 4 - does this sound about right?

They also said they'd grow no more than 1.5".

What are they like with Rams and small Gourami?
