hi i bought a pair of widow tetras a while ago the guy in store seemed to know his stuff when i asked for a pair 1 had a small fin just above its tail and the other 1 didnt do the males have this fin???? and is the same with all tetras as i have 5 serpai all with the small fin any help much appreciated

Most tetras have the small fleshy "adipose" fin. It is not a sexual indication. Some individuals have smaller fins then others.

This is a naturally shoaling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 fish. A pair may be very nippy towards each other and the other tank inhabitants.

Americans call them "Black Skirt Tetras", and the albino's "White Skirts".
