Hi everyone,

I have four black Venezuelan corydoras that I added to my 65 litre last Tuesday. They seemed absolutely fine when I got them and they’re still eating normal, but i’ve noticed two have a white film over their eyes. It started out with one, and now two have it, on both eyes. I did a bit of research and it could be a bacterial infection from injury, but i’ve treated it for bacterial infection to no avail. I started Pimafix yesterday to cover the bacterial and fungal base, but does anyone have any idea on what it actually could be? It doesn’t seem to be bothering them but I feel bad for them and it doesn’t look great on them :( TIA

When was the last time you did a water change?

Have you tested your water ?

Cat fish with cloudy eyes probably caused by adverse environmental conditions

I did a water change on Monday, I do one weekly. I tested the water yesterday and ammonia and nitrite are zero and nitrate is 15ppm. I’ll test it again tomorrow. I have other fish in the tank and they’re all fine- it’s just my cory’s

I had this once with a red lizard whiptail. Only one fish had it on one eye and eventually the eye fell off. The fish is still doing great, just missing one eye. It looked almost exactly like what you have except it was not contagious.
