Could someone please tell me what the black spot on my rainbow fish is?

I attached a photo below.

Thanks!

Not seeing your picture, I'm afraid.

Could you try reposting it, plus some more info on your tank; size, occupants, any water test results.

That'll help us get to the root of your problem

Sorry about that.

My tanks 55 gallons

tank right now has.

4 rainbow fish (3 Australian) (1 turquoise)
1 rainbow shark
1 bala shark
5 cherry barbs
2 platys
2 Molly's

It looks like my picture is too large to upload. My water tested fine, everything was normal. I just bought him yesterday. It looks like a black mass on the inside of him. I'll try to get a smaller pic. Any ideas? I know it's a vague description. I'm probably going to return him, but right know I'm concerned with my other fish, and the possibilitie that they could be infected also.

Try downsizing the photo (use one of the Microsoft tools) and then see if you can upload.  I would be very interested to see this, as I have had a fish or two with a black blotch that clearly went through the fish side to side, always on the lower part of the fish where this is obvious, and I've no idea what it was and would like to see if this is what you're seeing.

Here's the photo. Not sure if it's too small. Let me know thanks.

This spot also goes through side to side.

That's too small for me to be able to see what we are talking about.

To upload pictures to the forum you are best off having either a Photobucket or Flicker account. Simply upload from your computer to the account and from there copy the picture using the photo sharing sites tabs to the forum. This should enable you to put a larger picture in your thread.
