An old ( 8 or 9 years old) Black Skirted Tetra who was in the huge tank at the county forest preserve where I work seemed to have a tumor and look sickly etc etc. Ultimately she died on Sunday night. Today I went over there and found these little eggs like things speeding all around crawling on the rocks at the bottom. There was a million billion of them in the 55 gallon tank. Alot of them crawled into the rocks to hide. However, I managed to suck up some in a turkey baster and put them in this mesh-net box thing (Lee brand) that hangs on the side of the tank. I have NO experience in these matters. Are these Tetra eggs? They looked like little bugs crawling around trying to get under the rocks to hide. They did swim a bit though. I threw this fryfood in the net box and tried to get some at the bottom of the tank. Is this the right thing to do? Haven't a clue here so any info would be helpful!!
