would black ruby barbs school with tiger barbs?

They probably wouldn't school with them, but they might coexist. I'm not sure if different kinds of barbs will fight or not, though.

Schooling is a defensive strategy performed when fish feel threatened. It is rarely seen in typical tanks. If threatened fish school with their own kind, if REALLY threatened, they will school with similar species - but if the fish are that scared, you've bigger problems.

Most barbs are totally peaceful with appropriately sized tanks mates. Tiger Barbs are very boisterous though and can be aggressive, especially when kept in small groups.

a big Yes they will school with it i have 3 black rosy barbs and they swim and always with the tiger barbs i have 3 green and 8 tiger barbs thinking of getting albino if i can find any .

added 3 black rubys to my tank of 19 tigers

were a very bland looking fish in the store ,but after a week in the tank there colors are fantastic lovely deep raspberry red and dark black stipes

recomend these fish to anyone very impressed.
