Black Ruby Barbs

I have a 10 gallon planted tank and was wondering if one or two of these would be suitable. I plan on having Black Phantom tetras as well in the tank

any information about about this fish would be much appreciated...

Both the Brabs and Tetras you mention are schooling fish best kept in groups of 5-6 ideally more. Your tank is too small for either, let alone both species.

A trio of Cherry Barbs, one male two females would be okay.
