Black Pleco

Hi i went to my LPS this afternoon and went to have a look to see if they had any bristlenose plecos.Any way when i looked in a tank they had some all black or very dark grey plecos. Are these unusual and if so does anyone know what species they are as they were not labeled or priced was tempted to buy one but thought i would try and find out what they were first. Thanks

Dark grey pleco's you saw are most likely common plecs and grow massive, its very difficult to say about black plecos as there are hundreds of types of plecs that come in black.

Grey plecos are the commons and i have seem some in upwards of 20 inchs and they will continue to grow.. The black plecos there are a ton of different kinds, i have never seen an all black. I would be intrested to find out..
