Black Phantom Tetras

They look basically the same, though one is black and the other is orange. So, would they be able to schoal together?

I don't think they'd shoal, no. Serpaes are notorious fin-nippers and are always picking on each other in their own little group.

IMO no, they're tottaly different fish

Mine didn't when they were together. The serpaes are semi-aggressive and tend to keep everyone on their toes. Although you say yours aren't. Trade ya.

The bleeding hearts and black phantoms hang out a lot.

Like jollysue I have both and they never shoaled together.When I moved my serpae to my mad tank they did attach themselves to the bleeding heart tetra
