I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these lovely fish. I have a question regarding some weird behavior. Everytime I shut the light off, All six of them dart around in a school and kind of bump into the walls for about 10-15 seconds and then they stop.

I've got 5 of them but they've never done that. Sometimes one or two will ride the outflow current and drive the other 3/4 off for no particular reason but mostly they hover around the tank or dig in the decor and sand.

Yeah, all 6 of them ride the filter current but, after I shut the light, all hell breaks loose for about 10 seconds. I just dont understand why.

Can you put a small light on in the room before turning their tank light off? Maybe they are just spazing out because it is dark all of a sudden? :dunno:

My Black Neons are zippier than my regular ones too. I thought I'd never catch them from the 10g to the 55g when I moved them. They wedged themselves under artificial plant bases, hid behind the filter intake, flipped out over the net, it was nuts. :S

Mine seem prone to eating too much too, so watch out. They get up by the surface and just pig out while I'm trying to get food down to the Phantoms. I seldom feed flakes anymore because of this.

Yeah, maybe I'll try to leave a light on for a bit in the room. That could be it. Yes, they're pigs with food. I had/have a bad Ich problem with them, one in particular, and it doesn't effect them at all with feeding.

Mine will go after the pellets on the bottom of the tank when I feed my Cories. Makes it somewhat difficult sometimes. I distract them with floating food and try to sneak it past them but that's a temporary solution at best.
