Black Moore Fry - Bronze?

All of my Black Moore fry are Bronze coloured... At what age/size do they turn black??

They turn black at about the same age/size as normal goldies turn orange or white, although some never do turn black, and others fade back to bronze later in life.

For some reason black pigment is very transient and difficult to 'fix' in goldfish.

Oh No!... just what I was fearing...... I have absolutely no market for Bronze fantails in my area..... I just hope I have a high percentage.......

It's very strongly genetic, so if you pick the blackest parents, you'll have more chance of getting blacker fry.
