Black Moor ... White Fur?

Hi, over the past couple of days I've noticed my black moor's starting to change colour (or so it seems). He's getting white patches on his body, kinda looks like fur ... I know it's not white spot, but what could be wrong ... surely they don't go grey as they get older?

Sounds like Ich too me. Can you get some pictures... MY Black Moor had whitespot a while back. Pics would mean i can analyze it

Sounds fungal, what are your water stats?, tank size?, tank occupants?

As said its sounds like a fungus, does it look like cotton wool patches covering the fish?
