Up the Temp and add some aquarium salt.

That's what my Dad did when we had coldwater fish when I was younger.

I'v said this on another thread, I've always found Black Moors to be sickly and never last long...also never able to integrate with other fish.

I dont want to say it's a goner...but when our started floating upside down...they usually were.

I'm no expert though, maybe I was just unlucky with BM's...I certainly hope someone comes on here and says otherwise.

Sorry.

Hi donald; sorry to hear about your fish.

Thedoctor's given good advice about raising the temp if you can and adding some salt (you want aquarium or epsom salts though; don't use table salt) I always used a tablespoon in a gallon of water, but as a bath for around 30 minutes.

Lowering the level of water in the tank also helps; if you can just leave an inch or two more than the depth of the fish itself.

It wil be a problem with the fish's swim bladder. Don't feed the fish for two or three days and then feed it on lightly cooked, shelled peas.

This problem can be caused by a genetic or bacterial problem, but it's often to do with diet; what do you feed it at the moment?
