Black Molly Is Not Well

hi

please help, my black molly has not been well this last 2 days, he spends all day up against the filter pump and doesnt seem to have the energy to pull away.I have now put him in one of them floating tanks which you use for pragnant fish.

i can not see anything wrong with him in appearance apart from he is looking slightly whiter.

should i perserve with him or should i put him out of his misery? is so how?

I have done a 50% water change in case it was the water, but all other 15 fish are fine.i don't know what more to do

Hi - when you say your black molly is "looking whiter" what do you mean? Does it look like he has a white/greyish film over his body or do you mean that his colour is just fading a bit, like when some fish get stressed and their colours change? Is he still eating at feed times?

oh bad news, he died while i was out,

he never had a film over him,just looked off colour

Might just have been old, livebearers usually only live for two or three years even in ideal conditions.
