well im new to this forum, and im a new fishymomma! two weeks ago my husband and i brough home two black mollies as well as a bottom feeder to add on to our zebra fish (one has since died) we noticed a big diffrence between the mollies and decided one was male one was female... well today... they had babies. FORTY-SEVEN! i seperated the babies from the big fish and my borther is bringing me a new tnak to where i can put the big fish in and the babies back in the smaller tank...

what do i do with all these babies there hiding in the plant, which ive read is where they like to be, is there any way i can prevent the adults from breeding more? how do i seperate the male and female babies? WHAT DO I DO?! ive never had abbies ever before...

thanks for all help! :mama:

I would say that they only way you are going to get them to stop breeding is to seperate the parents from each other.......and for the babies, just let them grow up and sell the ones you don't want to your lfs!

thank you for the advice, tomorrows payday and we will be able to hopefully set the two seprate aquariums the rest of the way up my new question is should i keep the babies in my small 3 gallon tnak or should i get one of the over the side holder dealies to put them in teh bigger tank i have (its a 29 gallon tank)

sorry for the multiple postings of my first entry... it was being odd
