Black Mollie With Sore Eye

Just noticed our black mollie has got what looks like a sore eye!! Now I know this might sound stupid but should
I take him to the vet or is there anything commercially I can buy to treat it?

Can you explain it better or get a pic of it?
Is it standing away from the head in a doughnut kind of look or is it cloudy?

Need tank size in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Check the belly region also for red sores and bloating.
