Black Khuli

The only things under "khuli" in the index are banded varieties. However, the khulis I se around here are "black khulis"... all either solid black or brown. I take it this is still the same species, but the index and some other loach site I went to said they were always banded and whatnot. Anyways, wanted to get the confusion cleared up and see if an addendum couldn't be made to the index if this is indeed the same species of fish.

Hi,

The black khuli is a different fish and there are several sold under the name black khuli have a look on this site http/www.loaches.com/species_index.html to see which type you have. I haven't a clue which black ones i have but they hang around with the stripys and behave the same.

This looks like what I have.

All the scientific names are different, so would a separate entry be in order for the index?

The only things under "khuli" in the index are banded varieties.

Look under "Java Loach"/"Pangio oblonga" (this is the current name, javanicus is outdated).

Thanks for finding the article. Wouldn't have found it myself, since I had not thought to look for a "Java loach".
