Black gravel and corys

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I am getting some orange laser corys this week. My new tank is now ready for fish, but I am wondering if I should put the corys in there now. It has Geosystem black gravel as substrate - is this suitable for corys? They will look stunning against the dark colour but I wondered if it would be ok for their barbels.

I've been reading another thread about this topic - sand/gravel, so please ignore this one. I'll put my corys in my other sand tank.

If it helps, corys will be ok if the gravel is fine and not too large.
